How it works

The Giving Paw was designed to make it as easy as possible to give and receive cash gifts for your pets!

Click “Join Now”. You will then be prompted to create a unique profile and will receive a password via e-mail.

After registration, you can add optional details to your profile such as your picture, bio, and links.

Click the Add a Pet link (it's below the search box, after you've signed in)

After you’re registered, click the “Add a Pet” link.

Add your pet’s photo and a few details to help people get to know them.

3. Make a Wish List for your pet

A Sample Wish List & Profile page

Here’s the fun part! List the goods or services you’re wishing for your pet to receive. If you are unsure of how to get started, we have some sample ideas on the make a Wish List page.  You can simply add items from this list, or create your own items based on the needs and wants of your individual pet.

4. Tell people about your Wish List!

Share it! You'll find the links to share in the right column of your Wish List.

In your welcome e-mail, you’ll receive a unique link to your Wish List. You can send this link to your friends and family, as well as use social media tools including Twitter and Facebook. Also, your Wish List page will again have a special e-mail link to directly forward to friends and family.

5. Receive your cash gifts via PayPal

When someone gives you a gift, PayPal will notify you by e-mail. Then you can choose to withdraw your funds from PayPal or use them directly from your account with any online merchants who accept PayPal payments.

To receive your gifts, simply:

  1. Sign up for PayPal
  2. If you used a different email address to sign up with PayPal than you used to sign up with The Giving Paw, then you’ll need to update your profile with the email address that’s used in your PayPal account.
